White Pages Connect Service Areas

What are Service Areas?

The Service Areas feature in White Pages Connect links with Google My Business (GMB), meaning service areas can now be managed directly within White Pages Connect.

The service area feature is designed for businesses who visit or deliver to local customers. For example, it can be used by: A business that visits or delivers to customers but doesn’t serve customers at its business address (e.g. a plumber or cleaning service).

Note: Service Areas added in White Pages Connect will only publish for verified and connected Google My Business locations.

What are the benefits of having Service Areas?

There are many benefits to adding service areas in White Pages Connect:

  • Businesses who visit or deliver to local customers can have a hidden location address and display their service area confidently knowing customers can find them in their serviceable area while their private address is safely hidden.
  • Businesses with or without a hidden location address can show they service multiple areas and create more opportunities for their customers to find them when they are searching.
  • Listing your service area helps let customers know where you’ll go to visit or deliver to them. The service area feature is designed for businesses who visit or deliver to local customers.
How do I add/edit Service Areas in Connect?

To add or edit service areas in White Pages Connect, simply navigate to the Profile page, in the Basic Data tab you will now find a ‘Service Areas’ feature below your business address details.

Tip: Type in the suburbs or region that you service and select the appropriate service areas, remember to click ‘Save’. Only areas available in Google My Business will appear.

Will Connect migrate my existing service areas from Google My Business?

Your existing service areas are not automatically migrated from Google My Business (GMB). If you have not added Service Areas in White Pages Connect before connecting Google My Business your service area will be defaulted to the closest match.

Note: Your existing service areas will be available in the Profile tab under Suggestions.
